Are you looking for a professional Celebrant for your Sydney Namegiving Ceremony?
A Namegiving Ceremony is a lovely joy-filled ceremony, to be treasured for the rest of the child’s life. The child is welcomed to the community of the family and friends, and to the world, and a name is “given”. Parents may choose to provide a Namegiving Candle - the Candle of Life - or to plant a tree, The Tree of Life, to be dedicated to the child, and special verses and poems may be read. The ceremony enables you to celebrate your child’s arrival with family and friends, to honor your family story, and will become a vibrant part of your family history.
Most parents decide to go with the traditional idea of having Godparents (or Guardians) for their child, although there is no religious or binding legal implication contained in the ceremony. The important role played by Grandparents can be recognized, with the passing on of cultural values and helping children to understand their place within the family.
These ceremonies may be conducted at any venue - your home, a function centre, a park, a restaurant, or any other place of your choosing. I live in Dundas, but am very happy to travel to all areas of Sydney to be of service.
Your Name giving Celebrant service includes:
- Sample ceremonies, readings, and symbolism.
- Performance of the ceremony at the designated time, at selected venue.
Please note that the ceremony must start on time. - Beautifully presented copy of the ceremony
- Certificate of Namegiving for the child

“............. Thank you for being part of yet another Wong family celebration. It was so good to see you again and we couldn’t imagine having anyone else do our darling Isabella’s naming. This is probably the last baby, but then again you never know! And if so - we will call on you again. Love and best wishes .....”
